What’s The Problem?

Oil spills from tanker ship accidents have damaged ecosystems around Alaska, inside Gulf of Mexico, and many other places. The oil kills creatures by destroying fur and feathers, when you’re consumed by all of them, and by destroying the reproductive rounds of seafood. It may contaminate drinking water.

What You Can Do?

Cleanup after a spill is very tough, because oil can distribute when you look at the ocean for countless kilometers. Once a spill occurs, reaction teams must figure out where it’s going and exactly how to contain it. The best thing though will be prevent an oil spill before it occurs through better protocol and gear, but ultimately by reducing the shipment of oil.
