Race-baiting activists are enraged this morning after one of their own finally told the truth about Michael Brown and Ferguson.
Liberal Washington Post columnist Jonathan Capehart who made dozens of appearances last year defending Brown and attacking the police conceded on Monday that the hands up, dont shoot narrative in the fatal shooting of the Black teen in Ferguson, Missouri, was built on a lie.
Following the release of the Justice Departments report on the shooting, Capehart wrote that he was forced to confront two uncomfortable truths in the case: Brown never surrendered with his hands up, and Wilson was justified in shooting Brown.
More from Capeharts column:
What DOJ found made me ill. Wilson knew about the theft of the cigarillos from the convenience store and had a description of the suspects. Brown fought with the officer and tried to take his gun. And the popular hands-up storyline, which isnt corroborated by ballistic and DNA evidence and multiple witness statements, was perpetuated by Witness 101. In fact, just about everything said to the media by Witness 101, whom we all know as Dorian Johnson, the friend with Brown that day, was not supported by the evidence and other witness statements….
The DOJ report notes on page 44 that Johnson made multiple statements to the media immediately following the incident that spawned the popular narrative that Wilson shot Brown execution-style as he held up his hands in surrender. In one of those interviews, Johnson told MSNBC that Brown was shot in the back by Wilson. It was then that Johnson said Brown stopped, turned around with his hands up and said, I dont have a gun, stop shooting! And, like that, hands up, dont shoot became the mantra of a movement. But it was wrong, built on a lie.
It didnt take long for the race-baiters to freak out, and then lash out at Capehart:
@CapehartJ How much did they pay you?

@CapehartJ Your article is straight up BS. At least 7 witnesses saw Darren Wilson execute Mike Brown with his hands up
Bartholomew Johnson (@Gypsy7714) March 17, 2015
Complete fiction, as even Eric Holder admitted.
@iloanya1 easy if you buy Ferguson PD narrative wholeheartedly. W “allies” like @CapehartJ who needs enemies?

@CapehartJ You”re wrong Hands up was more then Mike Brown. You just demean this child to be accepted by white people.

Child? LOL. Here is the child Mike Brown strong-arm robbing the convenience store. Was his getaway tricycle waiting outside?
More level heads praised Capehart and called for the race-baiting liars to get a clue and learn from this insane episode:
Even @CapehartJ has figured out that #HandsUpDontShoot was a lie. When will the rest of #Ferguson wise up to the fact they were fooled?

Very impressive piece by @CapehartJ: http://t.co/sNDCVScAVC

@NoahWehrman @CapehartJ Credit where it”s due on this. Not many people in media would ever write this. Ever.
Stephen Miller (@redsteeze) March 16, 2015
And some pointed out how Capehart himself was culpable in spreading the lies:
It”s too bad @capehartJ admitted #HandsUpDontShoot is a lie after months of blocking all of us for telling him so: http://t.co/NYmQ3RyY1z
