After the singer’s untimely death was announced, support from around the world flooded in to Christina’s family and friends, with #RIPChristina quickly becoming the top trending hashtag on Twitter.

Christina’s brother, Marcus, has spoken publicly about his sister’s death, stating that her manager: Brian Teefey, had set up a GoFundMe campaign to cover the funeral costs and moving the family out of their house.

However, since the singer formed such close bonds with her fellow contestants, artists and most importantly, her season 6 mentor: Adam Levine – The Maroon 5 front-man had other ideas on how to pay respect to his protégé.

Not only did he post this adorable picture on Twitter:

Marcus actually revealed that Adam had called his and Christina’s mother, personally, to tell her that he will pay for Christina’s funeral cost and the flight to bring her body back to her family.

Not only that, but since the revelation, Christina’s family’s GoFundMe has racked up an incredible $150,000 and that number is still rising thanks to the generosity of her mentors, friends and kind people of the world.

Marcus uploaded this extremely moving post on Facebook:

‘I first heard from my sisters manager, Brian Teefey, that he will be making a gofundme to help our family move out of our current house and to take care of the funeral, and I figured why not, and I’m not about sharing that kind of stuff and I’m not a fan of handouts at all.

I found out this morning, that Adam Levine personally called my mother and said he will pay for the funeral and her plane flight, and I was blown away. Now a friend just told me to look at the gofundme page and I see it is at 100k. Words cannot express…;literally I have no words.

I promise both my parents and I will read every one of these personalized messages. I’m so blown away by everything right now. But all I can say is thank you. And Christina will be missed and never ever forgotten.

Love you Christina
