Danish Artist Maria Rubinke Creates These Creepy Porcelain Dolls. So Twisted.
Many vintage or Victorian porcelain dolls are fine and beautiful. They’ve been adorned with frilly petticoats and a sweet blush on their cheeks. They”re the type of statues or dolls your grandma could have coating the woman mantle. Maria Rubinke doesn”t make those variety of porcelain figurines. The Danish musician produces little porcelain young ones with cherub faces, but they are completely twisted. With one of these numbers, “she enables the incomprehensible and crazy in personal subconscious to go up towards surface.” The juxtaposition of precious faces and terrifying details can provide you some nightmares. (Or at least the chills.)

But Maria”s artwork isn”t typical.
The pieces she creates tend to be delightfully creepy.
