Halle Berry’s ex-husband Eric Benet and Faith Evans will headline a Prince tribute in Los Angeles on Friday evening.
Thousands of adoring fans are expected to gather at a free of charge community memorial from the south lawn of City Hall for a conference that’ll stretch to the evening.
Soul singer Aloe Blacc will grace the phase and hearsay persist that the late music mogul’s pal and Purple Rain co-star Morris Day along with his musical organization the full time may also make a look, as will members of Prince’s brand new energy Generation.
City Hall, in which Prince filmed his “Diamonds & Pearls” video, is illuminated up purple to honor the star since his untimely death final thirty days.
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti granted a statement following Prince’s demise. It read: “Prince was a once-in-a-generation skill. His wizard on-stage, and in the studio, was coordinated only by his determination to protect the integrity of their art and defend the rights of music artists to manage whatever they generate.”
