Camping is great! Spending time in the heart of nature and enjoying some great barbecues can be a lot of fun. But there are also some downsides of camping, such as setting up a campfire and maintaining it. While you would just want to sit and enjoy the fire burning, you have to still get up once in awhile and put some wood on the fire. But luckily, there is a great way to build a clever self-feeding fire that can burn up to fourteen hours. How great is that?
I have to admit I’ve never seen a campfire quite as efficient as this, described by former biology teacher turned outdoor enthusiast and YouTuber Bob Hansler. How many times have you camped on a cold night only to be jolted awake by the frigid air because your fire went out?
With this brilliant setup, we could all be sitting on our butts while the fire feeds itself! This self-feeding fire is said to even withstand a pretty good rain, which is obviously important if you are camping in Oregon.
