Kanye West and Kim Kardashian had a brief scare in the air after the helicopter they were travelling in had to make an emergency landing in Iceland.

The couple is currently vacationing in the Nordic country as part of a birthday celebration for Kardashian’s older sister Kourtney, who turned 37 on Monday. However, a birthday ride overlooking the picturesque landscape turned into a slightly frightening trip when their chopper had to unexpectedly touchdown on a golf course.

Kardashian documented the event on Snapchat, saying in a video they were making an “emergency landing,” while Kourtney attempted to lighten the mood by telling her fellow passengers to “stay calm.”

The unexpected stop was not too serious, Kim Kardashian revealed in a video on the messaging app, “We found the problem! A seatbelt was hanging out that was making a rattling noise.”

Kourtney Kardashian added, “Emergency landing but we’re ok!”

The trio, along with family friends Jonathan Cheban and Simon Huck, landed in Reykjavik over the weekend, and the sisters have been posting various photos and videos of their vacation on social media ever since.

Early Monday, Kim Kardashian even paid tribute to her older sister by taking to Instagram and sharing a photo of the two of them as tots wearing matching dresses and pigtails.

“Happy Birthday @kourtneykardash,” Kim Kardashian wrote. “Thank you for always doing everything first so I can copy you! I don’t know what I would do without you! I love you! Happy Birthday!”

Meanwhile, Kourtney’s youngest half-sibling Kylie Jenner, was back home in California attending the annual Coachella musical festival with sister Kendall Jenner.

Kylie Jenner also took to Instagram to honor her sibling, posting a face-swap video of herself and Kourtney, writing, “Lol I love you Kourtney. You already know you are my favorite sister these days.. Thank you for teaching me to see the glass half full through everything. Happy birthday.”
