A man has been arrested in connection with a burglary at Simon Cowell’s mansion.

The music mogul’s $56 million home in west London was targeted by a thief who struck on December 4 as Cowell slept upstairs with girlfriend Lauren Silverman.

The burglar made off with jewelry and cash after cracking into one of The X Factor judge’s safes, it was reported. A guard who patrolled Cowell’s exclusive neighborhood spotted a suspect and gave chase, later alerting authorities.

Police said a 37-year-old man was arrested in connection with the burglary on Friday and has been bailed until January.

Officers are investigating a spate of burglaries in the area, including one at the home of Cowell’s fellow The X Factor judge Rita Ora.

She was targeted on November 28, just a week before Cowell’s property was burgled. Cash, jewelry and electrical items were stolen from Ora’s home as one of her family members slept upstairs.

Cowell said after the raid on his house, “(The thief) got up to the first floor and there were two doors, one to my bedroom and one to my bathroom, which leads to a dressing room where the safe was. So he could have walked into my bedroom. Instead, he chose the other so he went through the bathroom. I think he had inside knowledge, definitely.”
