The head honcho at Microsoft’s Xbox division, Phil Spencer, admits to not being a fan of the Xbox 1.5, and wants to put out quality rather than quantity.
There has been a rumor floating around about PS4 making a PlayStation 4.5, also potentially known as PS4K. Lately we’ve been hearing that Xbox might be coming out with another console, but Spencer expressed during a conference that he is not interested in putting out another Xbox with a few upgrades.
“I’m not a big fan of Xbox One and a half. If we’re going to move forward. I want to move forward in big numbers. For us, our box is doing well. It performs, it’s reliable, the servers are doing well. If we’re going to go forward with anything, I want it to be a really substantial change for people – an upgrade.”

Although Spencer isn’t a fan of the half this doesn’t mean he’s not planning more upgrades. Microsoft caught a lot fire at the unveiling of the Xbox One in 2013 because it wasn’t what consumers expected, and they’re still working to meet those expectations.
But as far as Xbox 1.5 rumors go, Spencer has made it clear he doesn’t want to launch an upgradeable Xbox One kit, and the company doesn’t want to rebrand for an Xbox One and a half.
