The 10 Best Commercial Sandwich Shops In The USA, Ranked

5) Schlotzsky’s

schlotzkys

Schlotsky’s is another one that isn’t as common anymore, but if you can get your hands on one they are really good. One of their biggest downfalls is how expensive it is. Their signature round bread rolls are delicious, especially the sourdough.

4) Firehouse

firehouse

Firehouse used to be #2 on my list but has since moved down because of one main reason. If you don’t eat that sandwich within 5 min of it being made, it’s not even worth eating. See, they steam the meat and cheese to get that perfectly melted taste, which is amazing, but it also makes the sandwich extremely soggy very quickly. I’m talking less than 5 min after it’s made its #4 on the list, but after 5 min it wouldn’t even be on here.

3) Jersey Mikes’s

Jersey Mike’s is always a sure bet to get a fresh good sandwich that uses fresh ingredients. Just don’t order it “Mike’s way” unless you like the taste of vinegar and soggy bread.

2)Which Wich

This place is amazing and I wish I had found it earlier in life. They have such a wide variety of sandwich offerings and the way they have the ordering set up is absolutely brilliant. They have a list of 10-12 different brown paper bags with different types of sandwiches on each bag. Once you’ve picked what type of meat you want, you literally fill out the toppings list that’s stamped on the bag. The wheat bread is really good too. I highly recommend the surf and turf.

1) Potbelly

If you have a Potbelly near you and have not eaten there, please make it your top priority to get over ton one within the next couple days to try their sandwiches. The wheat bread is amazing, the meats are fresh, and they toast the bread perfectly to where its not hard and crunchy but won’t get soggy real fast either. Not a whole lot of choices but that doesn’t really matter because everything is so good. My personal favorite is the “wreck” on wheat, add mushrooms. You would normally only see them on the east coast, Chicago and a few places in Texas but now they’re popping up all over the place. We even have one in my home state of Utah!
